Water bottles are everyday containers used to hold liquids (primarily water). Their cylindrical shape is commonly used to optimize material utilization and transport stability. Product evaluations in 2024 showed that the mainstream materials included stainless steel, plastic, and glass. Among them, the Owala Freesip double-walled insulated stainless steel water bottle was recommended due to its 24-hour heat retention and leak-proof structure. Regarding safety, PET plastic bottles have been shown to pose a risk of releasing harmful substances at high temperatures and must be used in accordance with the triangular marking guidelines.

The cylindrical design reduces material consumption by approximately 10% compared to a cube for the same volume. The rounded sides prevent the rolling defects of spheres, and the flat top and bottom ensure stability. Mathematical calculations show that the circumference of a circle with a 100cm² area (35.4cm) is significantly shorter than that of a square (40cm) and an equilateral triangle (45.6cm) of the same area, reducing marginal production costs.
